ABRAHAM CROSS SR.
Abraham Cross Sr. passed away Feb. 11, 2011, he was 81 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Ola Cross; daughters, Audrey Washington, Patricia Norton, Cynthia Harges, Wilma Cross, Marsha Cross; and a son, Abraham Cross Jr.; brothers, Charles Cross Jr., Andrew Cross, Lawrence Cross (Mary), William Cross, Samuel Cross (Sue); and sisters, Margaret Shepherd, and Mary Chaplin (William).
A man of respect and great work ethic, he will be missed by all he touched. Abraham wore many hats throughout his life, a farmer, a veteran, a welder, a brother, a father, a son, a grandfather, an uncle, and a friend. He leaves us in good spirits because of the man that he was and the relationship we all shared with him. One thing we all know for certain is that, if heaven didn’t have a garden, it does now.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 171 Semple Farm Rd., Hampton, VA 23666. Followed by a procession to Ebenezer Cemetery for interment. Viewing will be two hours prior to service.
