ALBERT C. CARY

NEWPORT NEWS – Albert C. Cary, 85, a native of Warwick County, passed away onSaturday, Aug. 19, 1995.

He was a retired equipment operator for the Department of Public Works, city of Newport News. He was a deacon of the First Baptist Church, Denbigh, where he sang in the male chorus and the senior choir. He was a past master of the Zedekiah Lodge No. 167, F. & A.M.

Survivors include his wife, Daisy Fox Cary of Newport News; two granddaughters, Lisa Nazereth Boone and Regina Nazereth Miles, both of Newport News; great-granddaughter, Patrice Nicole Boone of Newport News; two sisters, Alice Moore of Hampton and Pearl Garrett of Newport News; four brothers, Paul, Clifton and Joshua Cary of Newport News and John Cary of Alexandria.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 24, 1995, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Denbigh, with Rev. Ivan T. Harris officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will follow services in the church cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday, Aug. 23, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel. The family will receive friends at 7 p.m. The funeral procession will assemble at the home of Ralph Nazereth, 136 Scufflefield Road, Newport News, at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The casket will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
