AMELIA A. CHANDLER
HAMPTON – Amelia A. Chandler died Jan. 22, 1996, at Sentara Hampton General Hospital. She was a Hampton native and a homemaker.
She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church of Hampton. She attended Hampton public schools.
She is survived by three daughters, Anna M. Chandler, Pamela J. Chandler and Joann E. Chandler, all of Hampton; three sons, Stuart C. Chandler Jr., James T. Chandler and Wilber H. Chandler, all of Hampton; three brothers, Wilber E. Bivins of Los Angeles, Calif., Otis J. Bivins of Newport News and Dewitt C. Harrell of Hampton; and nine grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Bethel A.M.E. Church by the Rev. S.E. Hayward III. The body will be placed in the church by 9 a.m. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Smith Brothers Funeral Home.
Assemble at 1605 N. Armistead Ave. on Monday by 10 a.m.
