ANTONIO D. WYNN

Antonio DeWayne “Y-Heily” “Jabari” Wynn was born on June 7, 1978, and departed this life on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000.

He attended schools in Newport News and Hampton and was a member of New Life Church, Hampton.

Sadly to say, his courageous spirit defending another caused his demise. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, the Rev. Sandy and Mrs. Mary Trower Sr., and his aunt, Paulette Delaney.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce P. Trower; father, Roger “BoBo” Wynn; stepfather, William E. Penny Jr.; two sisters, Taya M. Trower and Sharnell D. Trower; grandparents, Mattie S. Trower, Mr. and Mrs. William E. and Margie Penny, Helen Wynn and Alton Wynn; 10 aunts, among them one dedicated, Patricia Delaney Boyd; eight uncles, among them one dedicated, Al Trower; a great-aunt, Melvina Spruill; one special niece, Quaja Huntley; special cousins, Cory, Latashia and George Delaney Jr., Al-Shakier Henderson, Michelle White, Crystal Benning and Paula Lynch.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at New Life Church. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel and two hours prior to the service Thursday at the church.

The family will receive friends at the home of his mother, 105 Cedar Ave.

Arrangements are by Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel.
