Arthur Glenn Wilson Jr., 74, beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, died at his daughter’s home on Sept. 17, 2009.

Born July 21, 1935, in Messick, he was a son to the late Arthur Glenn Wilson and Lillie Powell Kissling. He was a retired computer systems analyst with civil service. Glenn was a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church In Poquoson, Men’s Bible Class, and the Virginia Boat Racing Association.

Glenn is survived by his daughter, Bernadette Wilson; former wife, Mary Wilson both of Grifton, N.C.; brothers, William Powell Wilson and wife, Marion of Hampton, Leamond ‘Noonie’ Wilson and wife, Sally of Virginia Beach, and Durwood Wilson and wife, Diane of Hampton; a sister, Brenda Gail Williams and husband, Kent of Summerville, S.C.; nine nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and great-nephews; and many beloved friends.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Poquoson. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton. Family will receive friends at other times and after the service at 107 Souverain Landing, Yorktown.
