BERNICE T. ‘BT’ CLARKE
Bernice T. “BT” Clarke, 82, died on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at his home.
He was a retired minister for the United Methodist Church having served the United Methodist Church in New Kent, Shepherds United Methodist Church near Center Cross, Trinity United Methodist Church at Millers Tavern, Providence United Methodist Church of Quinton, Bellamy United Methodist Church in Gloucester, Strasburg United Methodist Church, Forestville United Methodist Church (now Great Falls), and Trinity United Methodist Church in Poquoson. He was a graduate of Randolph-Macon College, Ashland and Union Theological Seminary, Richmond. He served his country in the Navy having served in the South Pacific and European Theater. He was also retired from First Virginia Bank, which is now BB&T.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Tabb Clarke, daughter, Kathleen Clarke of Florida, granddaughter Jennifer Hansen of California, grandson, Jeffrey Hansen of California, stepson, Danny Forrest and his wife Wendy of Poquoson, step-grandchildren, Danny Forrest, II and his wife Kate of Yorktown and their children Dawn and Lynn, Dana Rollins and her husband Chris of Poquoson.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Allan B. Clarke.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Yorktown. The service will be conducted by the Reverend Connie Jones.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Virginia Oncology and the Home Health Care nurses Shannon, Line’, Marie, Nicole and Kim for their care.
