C. L. Williams, Jr.

Carey Lee (C.L.) Williams Jr., 24, 13 Johnson Road, Hampton, died Monday in Hampton General Hospital, as the result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident Oct. 9.

A Hampton native, he was employed as a short-order cook with the Hampton Elks Club, and was a member of the Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church and the Fox Hill Fire Co.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carey Lee Williams Sr. of Hampton; and a sister Mrs. Betty W. Haynes of Poquoson; his maternal grandfather, William A. Martin; and his maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Rosa L. Dishman, both of Newport News.

A funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday in R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home by the Rev. Henry Sudduth.

Burial will be in Clark’s Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight in the funeral home.

A funeral for Carey Lee (C.L.) Williams Jr. of Hampton, who died Monday as the result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident Oct. 9, will be held at 1p.m. today in R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clark’s Cemetery.
