CECIL D. WALLACE

HAMPTON – Mrs. Cecil Drummond Wallace, 81, of Hampton, died Sunday, September 11, 1994.

Born in Accomac County, she had lived in Hampton most of her life, where she was a member of Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Fox Hill Woman’s Club.

Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Routten Wallace. She is survived by two daughters, Gwendolyn W. Wesson, of Hampton, and Jacquelyn W. Rawls, of Gloucester; three sons, Richard T. Wallace, Carl R. Wallace and Charles W. Wallace, all of Hampton; one brother, Walter Drummond, of Michigan; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church by the Rev. George T. Insley Jr. Burial will follow in Clark Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church Building and Grounds Fund, 501 Beach Road, Hampton 23664.
