CHARLES N. CANNON

HAMPTON – Charles Norman Cannon, 64, died Sunday, May 27, in his home.

A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Mr. Cannon had been a Peninsula resident for 40 years. He was employed as a business agent for Local No. 264 of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees for 16 years. He retired as a projectionist of the General Cinema in 1989 after eight years. Mr. Cannon was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Cannon; a daughter, Denise Joyner of Hampton; a sister, Patricia Dodt of Royal Oak, Mich.; and two grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home by the Revs. Gene C. Fant, Earl E. Jordan and Stephen Wallsteadt. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
