Charlie Wiggins

Charlie Wiggins, Negro, of 1328-30th St., Newport News, died Monday in Dixie Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Nash County, NC, he had been a resident of the Peninsula for the past 23 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, East End.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Daisy Wiggins; his mother, Mrs. Lucy B. Wiggins of Rocky Mount, NC; two sisters, Mrs. Caressa Bass of Hampton and Mrs. Blanche Banks of Newport News; five brothers, James Wiggins of Newport News, Lavern Wiggins of Washington; and Floyd Wiggins, Shaffer Wiggins, and Arthur Wiggins, all of Rocky Mount.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:15pm Sunday in First Baptist Church, East End, with the Rev. W. M. Brown, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park.

Relatives and friends will meet at the residence by 12:15 pm Sunday.
