Ret. MSGT Clarence A. Woods earned his wings on Saturday April 12, 2014 at the Hampton Roads Specialty Hospital in Newport News VA. He was born in Rocky Mount, VA and has been a resident of the City of Hampton for 34 years. He served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force and 15 years Civil Service for the Dept. of Defense as an Equal Employment Opportunity Investigator. Clarence continued to serve his country as a former Commander for the Disabled American Veterans in the State of Virginia. He was also a member of the National Order of Trench Rats and Military Affairs Committee.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, five brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, a daughter, a son, seven grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.

The family will receive friends on Wed. April 16, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thur. April 17 at 1:00PM in the Chapel at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home followed by entombment at the Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Department of American Veterans Chapter 6. Friends are encouraged to visit to share memories and words of condolences with the family.
