Funeral services of Captain D. F. Cock

Funeral services over the remains of the late Daniel Feeks Cock, who died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. John C. Robinson, on the Boulevard, Sunday afternoon, were held from the residence yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock. A large crowd of the friends of the deceased and a number of the members of Hampton Lodge No. 366, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, of which Mr. Cock was a past exalted ruler, attended the services in a body. Rev. Thomas C. Darst, rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal church, of Newport News, read the Episcopal burial services and the Elks had charge of the services at the grave. At the request of the dead man, James J. Lindsay, the tenor singer, sang a solo at the grave. The grave was literally covered with beautiful floral designs sent by the admiring friends of the deceased.
