Dorsey (Chris) Randolph Christian, 64, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000.

He was a member of Second Liberty Baptist Church in Quinton, Va., and was Past Worshipful Master of The York Star Masonic Lodge and past president and current vice president of The Thunder Road Motorcycle Club in New Kent County.

He retired from the VA Hospital in Hampton, Va., after 30 years of service as a locksmith. He was currently employed at George Myers Contracting Inc. in Williamsburg, Va.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara H. Christian of the home; one son, Dorsey (DD) Christian of the home; one granddaughter, Tyra Williams of Quinton, Va.; three sisters, Hazel Franklin and her husband, McDonald, of Richmond, Va., Virginia Christian of Quinton, Va., and Althea Holmes of Newport News, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, at Shiloh Baptist Church, Yorktown, Va., with the Rev. Milton Hathaway as eulogist and the Rev. Richard Holmes as officiant. Burial will follow services in the Masonic Cemetery in Yorktown, Va. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, at Carter Funeral Home-Denbigh Chapel. Mr. Christian will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The family will assemble by 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at 3601 Old Williamsburg Road.
