DOUGLAS C. CURTIS

HAMPTON – Retired Lt. Col. Douglas Craig Curtis, 77, a native of Southport, Conn., died Saturday, Feb. 29.

Mr. Curtis retired from the U.S. Air Force in July 1970 after more than 27 years of service. During World War II, he served as a glider pilot with the U.S. Army Air Corps.

He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

Survived by one daughter, Beryl C. Roach of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sons, Edward Wells Curtis of Chicago, Ill., and Douglas Keith Curtis of New York, N.Y.; one sister, Ann Curtis Carstensen of Arlington, Vt.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral at 3 p.m. Monday in St. John’s Episcopal Church by the Rev. Rodney L. Caulkins. Burial in the church cemetery.

The family will gather with friends after the burial at 316 Marshall St., Hampton.
