DOUGLAS CURTIS JR.
NEWPORT NEWS – Douglas C. Curtis Jr., 53, a native of Newport News and a lifelong Peninsula resident, died Monday, Sept. 7.
Mr. Curtis retired as head mechanic with Curtis Motor Co. in 1978 after 20 years of service.
He was a member of the Lebanon Church of Christ.
Survived by his wife, Shirley B. Curtis; one daughter, Cary Anne Vazquez of Newport News; two sons, Ray C. Curtis and David H. Curtis of Newport News; and eight grandchildren.
Graveside service 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lebanon Church of Christ Church by the Rev. Joe E. Parrish Jr. Burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
