Eddie Lamar Campbell, a former resident of Williamsburg, was called to eternal rest, suddenly, on Tuesday, June 19, 2001.
He was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church in Williamsburg. He was employed by South Eastern Frozen Food Packing Co. and also by River City Diner.
He leaves to treasure his fond memories his daughter, Monique Taylor of Fayetteville, N.C.; his son, Xavier LaMar Campbell of Richmond; his father, Willie W. Campbell Sr. of Florida; his mother and stepfather, Olivia Brown and Quinton Brown of Williamsburg; his sister, Gloria D. Pressey of Charlotte, N.C.; his brothers, Willie W. Campbell Jr. of Williamsburg, Donald Campbell and his wife, Tasha, of Dayton, Ohio, and Reginald Campbell and his wife, Rebecca, of Richmond; his grandmothers, Elnora Roberts of Williamsburg and Mattie Campbell of Florida; godson, Eddie Taylor; and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Little Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Linwood Gatling officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble by 1 p.m. Saturday at 109 Colby Road. Mr. Campbell may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
