Edwin A. Wagner, 59, entered into rest on Thursday, August 22, 2002, in the ICU Unit of the Hampton Veterans Hospital after a long illness. He was an Air Force Veteran, Past Senior Counselor of the Arthur E. Wagner Memorial Council #687, Kankakee, Ill., graduate of Kankakee High School and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Poquoson.

Mr. Wagner was preceded in death by his son, Scott, and his father, Arthur E. Wagner, of Kankakee, Ill. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda, daughter, Rhonda, and her fiance, Paul, of Saluda, son, Steve and his wife, Kelly, and son, Kent, all of Hampton. He was beloved as Pa Pa by his grandchildren, Katelyn, Michael, Sophia and Stevie. He is also survived by his mother, Caroline V. Wagner, of St. Anne, Ill., brother, Stewart and his wife, Mary, of Bourbonnais, Ill., uncle and aunt, Wilbur and Vie Wagner of Bradley, Ill.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2002, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bill Holloway officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Private family interment will be held at Weston Cemetery in Poquoson.

The family will be at the home, 3 Hilke Dr., Langley Mobile Park, Hampton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ERCU unit of the V.A. Medical Facility for veterans without families.

Arrangements are under the care of Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave. in Hampton.
