EMMA D. CHANDLER
HAMPTON – Emma Dismond Chandler died Monday, March 27, in Sentara Hampton General Hospital.
She was a self-employed beautician for 40 years.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Hampton, and a member of Old Northampton Community Organization.
Survivors include five daughters, Ethelrine Purify of Rockford, Ill., Delores Norwood of Detroit, Shirley Blue of Winter Park, Fla., Helen Freeman of Portsmouth and Neola Perry of Hampton; two brothers, Charles W. Dismond of Newport News and Horace M. Dismond of Baltimore; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 717 Little Back River Road, Hampton, by Mr. Randy Parker. Burial will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the hall at 11:30 a.m. Family and friends will assemble at 23 Rip Rap Road, Hampton, by 12:30 Saturday.
