Death of Mrs. Walker
Lovable young woman dies after a short illness
Mrs. Emma Phillips Walker, wife of Mr. Francis Walker, died at her residence in West End yesterday morning after an illness of three days. A very sad incident in connection with the death of this young woman is the fact that her babe of two days was buried Wednesday morning. Mrs. Walker was just twenty-eight years old and was a woman beloved by all for her many Christian traits. She was a true wife, a devoted sister and was true in life in every respect. Her husband and one sister, Mrs. Tom Lewelling, survive her. She was the daughter of Mrs. Emma Croswell, of York County.
The funeral services will take place this afternoon from Bethel church, of which the deceased had been an honored member since her girlhood days.
