HAMPTON – Eugenia Ferritti Carli, 98, a native of Casoni, Italy, died Friday, Nov. 15.

Mrs. Carli moved to Denver when she was 19. She moved to Phoebus in 1915 and with her husband became owner of several grocery stores. She was the oldest member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the oldest member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Buckroe Moose Lodge 1119.

She was also a member of the Ladies Altar Sodality and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Survived by two daughters, Pauline C. Blevins and Beatrice C. Kasper, both of Hampton; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Wake service at 7 p.m. Monday in R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home after which the family will receive friends until 9 p.m.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, 5 Colonial Acres Drive, Hampton, at other times.

Funeral at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church by the Rev. Vincent J. Douglass. Burial in Parklawn Memorial Park. Memorials to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Building Fund, 514 Buckroe Ave., Hampton 23664.
