NEWPORT NEWS – Eva Conn, 84, a native of Lithuania and a Peninsula resident since 1986, died Sunday, Feb. 16.

Miss Conn retired as an office manager from Hecht’s Department Store in Washington, D.C., in 1978 after many years of sevice.

She was a graduate of Newport News High School and Fredericksburg State Teachers College. She was a member of Rodef Sholom Temple and Tifereth Israel Congregation, Washington, D.C.

Survived by a niece, Susan Friedman of Newport News; and three nephews, including Ralph Goldstein of Newport News.

Funeral at 11:30 a.m. today at Rodef Sholom Temple, Hampton, by Rabbi Steven Lindemann. Burial in Rosenbaum Cemetery, Hampton.
