HAMPTON – Floye L. Wilson, 71, died Sunday, Nov. 5, in Sentara Hampton General Hospital.

Ms. Wilson was a native of Durham, N.C., and a Peninsula resident for 35 years. She was employed with the Hampton Department of Social Services. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and its Senior Chorus and Missionary Circle.

Survivors include a foster daughter, Georgia Whitfield of Hampton; two sisters, Hoye Dozier of Detroit and Carrie Garris of Hampton; a brother, U.M. Riley of Detroit; and a stepgrandchild.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the church by the Rev. Howard V. Booker. Burial will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church by noon.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Ronald C. Perkins Funeral Home.

Family and friends will assemble by 1 p.m. Friday at 1571 Old Buckroe Road.
