WILLIAMSBURG — Mrs. Geneva Christian, of 119 Jackson St., died Saturday in her residence.
She was born in Lackey and had been a Williamsburg resident for 16 years. She retired from the Holiday Inn, Williamsburg. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church, Grove, and its senior choir.
Survivors include her husband Amos Christian; three sisters, Mrs. Rosa L. McCrea of Newport News, Mrs. Esther Christian of Yorktown and Mrs. Margaret Thomas of Philadelphia; and two brothers, Romeo Whitby and Juniour Whitby, both of Lackey.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Whiting’s Funeral Home, Williamsburg, is in charge.

WILLIAMSBURG — A funeral for Mrs. Geneva Christian, who died Saturday in her residence, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Morning Star Baptist Church by the Rev. Sandy Trower and the Rev. James E. Christian. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family and friends are to assemble at the residence, 119 Jackson St., by 2 p.m.
Wednesday. The body will be placed in the church by 1 p.m. Wednesday. The body may be viewed at Whiting’s Funeral Home Williamsburg, from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
