GLEN A. CHILDRESS

HAMPTON – Glen A. Childress, 58, of Hampton, died Monday, Jan. 23, 1995. He was born in Gladstone and had been a resident of Hampton for 38 years.

Mr. Childress was an appliance repairman for Shawel’s TV and Appliance Company for the last 37 years. He was also a member of the Memorial Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World.

Mr. Childress is survived by his wife, Catherine Ruth Childress; his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Harmon of Hampton; his son, Anthony Ray Childress of Hampton; his brother, Hazel Bishop of Gladstone; and one granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakland Cemetery by the Rev. Donald H. Harvey.
