Glenna C. Carleton, who, with her late husband, William L. Carleton, owned, restored and lived in the historical plantation house, Lee Hall, died Sunday, April 11, 1999. Mrs. Carleton used her knowledge of antiques and interior design to restore the Lee Hall mansion in 1964, thus saving it from very extensive deterioration.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, W. Randolph and Brenda J. Carleton and John Glen and Patricia Carleton; two grandchildren, Jeff Carleton and Jennie Taff Carleton; and two nieces, Susan Crawford and Charlotte Ray Stone.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by Dr. James E. White and Dr. J. Walter Martin. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
