G. V. Crocker

Goldie Vernon Crocker, who made his home with a sister, Mrs. J. W. Meares of Hampton, died about 1045 yesterday morning in Petersburg General Hospital after a long illness.

He was born January 15, 1895 in Isle of Wight County, son of the late James Benjamin Crocker and Mrs. Lizzy Wiley Crocker.

Mr. Crocker was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Warwick. He had been employed by Gordon Enterprises.

Survivors include his stepmother, Mrs. Sadie Brackett; an aunt; and uncle; a brother, J. W. Crocker of Petersburg, and nine sisters, Mrs. Walter Bryant and Mrs. Aubrey Emory, both of Petersburg, Mrs. Harry Ruskey of Baltimore, Mrs. Russell Moore, Mrs. Ralph Conrad, Mrs. Jacob Swall, Mrs. Walter White and Mrs. Wallace Jones, all of Warwick, and Mrs. Meares.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3 PM tomorrow in Mills Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
