Grover C. Wilson

Grover C. Wilson, 80, of 1408 Old Buckroe Road, Hampton, died early Thursday in Dixie Hospital after a short illness.

A lifelong resident of Hampton, Mr. Wilson was a retired painter in civil service at Fort Monroe.

Surviving are his two sons, Raymond Wilson and Charles (Woodie) Wilson, both of Hampton; sister, Miss Mayme Wilson of Hampton; two brothers, Willis Wilson of Hampton and Edwin Wilson of Stone Ridge, NY, and a grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Saturday in Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Howett E. Mallison, pastor of Wythe Presbyterian Church, officiating. Assisting will be the Rev. Chester L. Brown, pastor of Hampton Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be John Mulqueen, Linwood Hughes, Harry Mann, John Segar, John Slater and Herman Montgomery.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Hampton.
