HAROLD ‘RED’ CARR
Harold “Red” Carr, 71, native of Bear Creek, W.Va., 30 year resident of Hampton and 23 year resident of Gloucester, Va., has gone to Heaven to be with his Lord, his grandson Jeff; his parents; his brothers and sisters on Tuesday, March 10, 2009.
He was the Cemetery Superintendent at Parklawn Memorial Park for 25 years until his retirement in 1984. He loved to hunt and was a lifetime member of the Buck Run Hunt Club. He also loved to work in his garden but most of all cherished his Sunday dinners with his family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 54 years, Geneva; his daughters, Teresa Tabor, and Shelia Brown and her husband, Thomas; his son, Joseph Carr and his wife, Donna; five grandchildren, Matt Brown, Casey Carr, Corey Carr, Brittni Tabor and Breanna Tabor; three great-grandchildren, Mason Brown, Hayley Johnson and Kiernan Carr; a sister, Eleanor Wimer; two brothers, Claude Carr and Frank Carr.

Friends are invited to visit from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home.
A graveside committal will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 12, in Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Elizabeth Harden and Marie of Virginia Oncology for their loving care during his six year battle with cancer.
