HAROLD D. COHEN
NEWPORT NEWS – Harold Dooley Cohen, 81, died Wednesday, June 14, 1995. He was a native of Newport News.
Mr. Cohen retired from Kline Furniture Co. in 1985. He was manager of the La Vogue stores in downtown Newport News and most recently was associated with Barr Brothers. He was a member of Rodef Sholom Temple. He was a life member of the Newport News Elks Lodge and a member of the Williamsburg Golden Horseshoe Club.
Survivors include his wife, Jean S. Cohen; two sisters, Hanna Gordon of Newport News and Sarah Cooper of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Theodore Cohen of Newport News; 22 nieces and nephews; 30 great-nieces and nephews; and 22 great-great-nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 16, 1995 in the Hebrew Cemetery by Rabbi Efraim Warshaw of the Rodef Sholom Temple. Memorials to the Rodef Sholom Temple, 318 Whealton Road, Hampton 23666. Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
