POQUOSON – Helen Carpenter Hubbard Carmines, 79, a native of Great Bridge, Virginia, and a Poquoson resident for 28 years, died Saturday, November 12, 1994.

She is a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family. She was a dedicated member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church, the Sadie Hunt Circle and the WCTU.

Survived by her husband, James Stuart Carmines; three daughters, Arlene Hubbard Stubbs, of Newport News, Frances Hubbard Jones, of Poquoson and Novella Hubbard Cauley, of Glenwood, Md.; a brother, Irvin Carpenter, of Halifax County, Virginia; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation Monday at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church by Reverend Richard Helveston. Burial at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News.
