Melvin Watkins dies in York County home
Melvin Watkins, 24, died in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Watkins, in Poquoson, York County, yesterday morning at 3 o’clock. He had been ill several days with typhoid fever. Mr. Watkins was well known in Hampton was removed from here to his home about a week ago when he became ill. He was associated with his father in the management of a small boat. He is survived by three brothers and three sisters besides his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 11 o’clock from his late residence by the Rev. Mr. Hartness. Burial will be made in Wesley cemetery.
