H. J. Creasy, druggist, dies
Hiram Jason Creasy, 59, of 1255-23rd St., Newport News, died unexpectedly at his place of business, Creasy Drug Store, 4409 Huntington Ave. Sunday morning.
Born in Helena, NC, Mr. Creasy had resided in Newport News for the past 54 years. He attended the public schools in the city and Hargrave military Academy. He was a member of Orcutt Baptist Church; Lodge number 241; AF&AM; Khedive Temple shrine, Norfolk, and the Virginia pharmaceutical Association.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. H. J. Creasy of Newport News, two daughters, Mrs. H. C. French of Hampton and Mrs. D. W. Fockler of Germany; sister, Mrs. Blanche Vincent of Washington, DC; brother, Wesley B. Creasy of Norfolk and two grandchildren.
The body will remain at Cattee funeral home.
