JAMES R. WILLIAMS
HAMPTON – James Robert Williams, 57, died Monday, Nov. 26, in Riverside Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Delbarton, W.Va., who had been a Hampton resident for 28 years. Mr. Williams, who had been employed as operations manager at Wometco since 1970, was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Electa Mae Williams; two daughters, Rhonda S. Doubleday of Connecticut and Kathy A. Rossingol of Williamstown, Vt.; four stepdaughters, Victoria J. Pegram of Newport News, Jackie L. Wall of Hampton, Patricia A. Smithley of York County and Winona L. Weber of Manassas; three sons, James L. Williams and Ronald L. Williams of Hampton and Charles M. Williams of the home; two sisters, Nettie Scott of Winter Park, Fla., and Helen Land of Mingo County, W.Va.; four brothers, Ralph Williamson of Waynesboro, Jimmy Williamson of Michigan, Lawrence P. Williams Jr. of Littleton, N.C., and Luther Williams of Mingo County; and 15 grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home by Chaplain Paul W. Huber. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
