HAMPTON – Janet A. Conway, 71, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, in her home.
She was a native of Rochester, N.Y., and Peninsula resident for 49 years.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She served as past president of Sentara Hampton General Hospital Auxiliary and was an evening assistant in Hampton’s Charles Taylor Library.
Survivors include her husband, Robert N. Conway; three sons, Bruce Conway of Seaford, Michael Conway of Harrisonburg and David Conway of Fredericksburg; one brother, Dr. David Alling of Bethesda, Md.; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. John’s Episcopal Church by the Rev. Steven R. Rottgers. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends at the parish hall following the service Saturday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Sentara Hampton General Hospital Auxiliary.
