John Moses Cochran Sr., 71, of 64 Hopkins St., Warwick, died in Riverside Hospital at 10:30 yesterday morning after a short illness.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eugenia N. Cochran, four sons, John M. Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla., Don Rodney of Long Beach, Calif., Dr. James R. of Great Lakes, Ill., and Edward W. Cochran of Warwick, a daughter, Mrs. Howard Ita of Philadelphia, three brothers, J. J. Cochran of Arden, N. C., Edward R. Cochran of Phoeniz, Ariz., and Benjamin Cochran of Sarasota, Fla., three sisters, Mrs. F. B. Johnson of Greenville, S. C., Miss Ella I. Cochran of Asheville, N. C., and Mrs. H. H. Penland of Swanannoa, N. C., 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cochran had lived on the Peninsula since 1921. He was a civil engineer, and a member of the Hilton Presbyterian Church. Funeral arrangements were incomplete.
