JOHN CUNNINGHAM

HAMPTON – John Randolph Cunningham, 58, a laboratory photographer who retired from NASA Langley Research Center, died Monday, May 24.

Mr. Cunningham retired from the center in 1992 after a 30-year career with the government. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Hampton. Mr. Cunningham was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Elks Lodge 366 of Hampton and the Train Collectors Association.

Survived by his wife, Linda E. Cunningham; two sons, John R. Cunningham Jr. and Bryan D. Cunningham of Hampton; his mother, Maybelle Bradford Paxson of Hampton; and a sister, Joan C. Newman of Hampton.

Visitation at residence. Funeral at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John’s Episcopal Church by the Rev. Donna-Mae Siderius. Burial in church cemetery.
