JOSIE CARR COOPER

MIDDLESEX – Josie Carr Cooper, 63, died Sunday, Aug. 11, in Riverside Walter Reed Hospital, Gloucester.

A native of West Virginia, Mrs. Cooper was a Peninsula resident for many years before moving to Middlesex in 1986.

Ms. Cooper was an employee of Sarah Hogge’s and Poquoson Marina Restuarant.

She attended Pentecostal Holiness Church, Topping.

Survivors include four daughters, Linda Koski of Freemont, Ind., Carolyn Adkins of Middlesex, Mickey Houston of Carrolton and Carol Ann Lively of Gloucester; four sons, Sonny Arbogast of Cleveland, Ohio, Carlos Adkins of Newport News, Larry Adkins of Poquoson and Danny Cooper of Tabb; three sisters, Ceola Adkins of Gloucester, Eleanor Wymer of Poquoson, and Freda Hornsby of Shady Springs, W.Va.; three brothers, Claude Carr of Poquoson, Harold Carr of Gloucester and Franklin Carr of S.C.; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. George Insley in Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.

Viewing will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Amory Funeral Home.
