LELIA E. FREEMAN CAIN
OLYMPIA, WASH. – Lelia ”Kit” Freeman Cain, 80, died Dec. 26, 1995, in Evergreen Convalescent Center, Olympia, Wash.
Lelia was born in Poquoson, Va., on Jan. 19, 1915. She was the much loved daughter and sister of the late Edward and Emma Freeman and Manfred Freeman Sr. ”Kit” moved to Olympia in 1942 and retired from the State of Washington after 37 years as head of accounting. Her interests and hobbies included gardening and flowers; Zora Temple No. 5 Daughters of the Nile; Selah Club; and Elks Auxiliary. She remained a member of Emmaus Baptist Church, Poquoson, Va.
In 1988 she was preceded in death by her dear husband, Farrell H. Cain. Survivors include a niece, Linda Freeman Ogg of Riverside, Calif.; a nephew, Manfred Freeman Jr. of Poquoson, Va.; a stepdaughter, Dianne Cain Harvey of Washburn, Wis.; and a stepson, Steven Cain of Texas.
A private memorial service will be held in Olympia at a later date.
