Lewis Cassidy

Lewis Ashton Cassidy, 43, of 26 Duncan Drive, Hampton, died Monday morning in Dixie Hospital after a short illness.

He was a lifelong resident of Hampton and a supervisor at the Langley Air Force Base fire department. He was a member of Buckroe Methodist Church, Monitor Lodge 197 AF & AM and Kecoughtan Royal Arch Chapter 42.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Jean Cassidy; a son, Russell Lewis Cassidy of Hampton; a daughter, Mrs. Addie Jean Disney of Hampton; three sisters, Mrs. T. B. Corbett, Mrs. R. M. Smith and Mrs. Charles Langley of Hampton; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3pm Wednesday at Buckroe Methodist Church by the Rev. William G. Price, pastor, and the Rev. Burton Pierce of the the Assembly of God. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Oakland Cemetery.
