Lillian Catherine Norman, 91, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005.

Lillian was born in Schoolfield, Va., on Oct. 28, 1914. She was a resident of Fox Hill and a member of Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. Mrs. Norman was also an active member of the Fidelis Sunday school class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Norman, son, Richard L. Norman, three brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Norman was the matriarch of the family and is survived by her children and their spouses, Ruben Norman and wife, Rosemary, of Hampton, Ann Davis and husband, Jeff, of Toano, and Johnny Norman and wife, Susan, of Carrollton; one brother, William Scarce of High Point N.C.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Fox Hill Central United Methodist Church by the Rev. Henry Sudduth. Interment will follow in Clark Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
