LOUISE M. VENABLE

WILLIAMSBURG – Mrs. Louise M. Venable, 74, answered the Master’s call in her home on Friday, Nov. 15, 1996. She was a native of Campbell County and had been a Williamsburg resident for many years.

She was a devoted member of Colossian Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as a member of the Nurses’ Aide and the Usher Board. She also was a member of Colonial Temple No. 380.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving son, William Brooks of Williamsburg; her sister, Hortense Hubbard of Lynchburg; her stepchildren, Marian Annette Venable, Helen V. Patterson, Jacquie V. Johnson and Dorothy V. Smith; two grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Colossian Baptist Church, Newport News, with the Rev. Steven Banks officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 201 Tam-O-Shantor Court, Apt. 6, by noon on Tuesday. The casket will be placed in the church by 11 a.m. on Tuesday and the body may be viewed in Whiting’s Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday.
