Mrs. Mahala Cox, 74, dies; rites at 3 tomorrow

Mrs. Mahala Cox, 74, of 1133 Twenty-seventh street, died at 4:50pm yesterday at her home after an illness of two weeks.

Mrs. Cox, a native of York County, was survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sallie Smith of this city and Mrs. Charles W. Cox of Tabb; a brother, Joseph Wood of this city; two grandchildren, Walter C. Wood of New York City and Miss Audrey Virginia Cox of Tabb, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 3pm tomorrow at Peninsula funeral home with the Rev. A. J. Renforth of Yorktown officiating. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be George and G. S. Wood, O. C. Gaesser, B. D. Baker and John R. and T. DeAlba. Friends of the family will act as honorary pallbearers.
