God’s little angel MaKayla M. Williams, 5, daughter of Qudarro and Kristian Williams and granddaughter of Ministers Myrtle and Tracy Dobson, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Hunter Army Airfield, Ga. Arrangements by Nicholson-Cummings Funeral Home, Hampton.

Makayla Marie Williams, 5, took her angel wings and followed Jesus into Heaven on Friday Feb. 16, 2007 at the Backus Children’s Hospital, Savannah, Ga. She was born June 19, 2001, the youngest twin to Specialist Qudarro and Kristin Williams. Survivors include twin sister, Mariah and sister, Quadaria, all of Savannah, Ga.; half-brother Devin of Newport News; grandparents, Min. Myrtle “Mawmaw” Dobson (Tracy), George “Pawpaw” Williams, Jr., all of Newport News; Michelle “Grammy” DeGroat (William) of Carrollton, Va. and Clay Starr (Sharon) Bakersville, Calif.; three aunts; two uncles; four cousins; great- grandparents; great-aunts; great-uncles; godparents, Debbie J. Williams and Sumaster Newell, and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 21, at Colossian Baptist Church with Pastor Peter A. Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will assemble at 174 Queensbury Court, Newport News by 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Little Makayla may be viewed from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Nicholson- Cummings Funeral Home.
