MALVIN T. WOODLEY SR.

HAMPTON – Malvin Tyler Woodley Sr., 80, a lifelong Peninsula resident, died Thursday, Jan. 28.

He retired as a supervisor in 1977 after 25 years with C&P Telephone. Mr. Woodley, a graduate of Duke University, was a World War II Navy veteran.

Survived by four daughters, Barbara W. Ellis of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Carolyn W. Bunch, Mary J. Woodley and Kay W. Willis of Hampton; two sons, Tyler Woodley Jr. of Hampton and George C. Woodley of Sunnyvale, Calif.; a sister, Frances Clouser of Chincoteague; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Graveside service 2 p.m. Sunday in Clark Cemetery in Fox Hill by the Rev. Milton A. Hines Jr.
