Marguerite P. Wright

Marguerite Phillips Wright, 82, native and lifelong Poquoson resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998. A homemaker, wife, and mother, she was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert Sinclair Wright; grandchildren, Natalie Jean Talcott and Thomas Clay Wright; sisters, Ava Phillips Blount and Rosemary Phillips Hays; and brothers, Vincent Phillips and Frank Phillips.

She is survived by one son, Richard Clay Wright of Mollusk; one daughter, Nancy Wright Talcott of Poquoson; three grandchildren, Kim Billingsley of Monterey, Neal Wright of Richmond and Robert Wright, stationed in Germany; two great-grandchildren, Hayley Billingsley and Julia Billingsley; and two sisters, Pearle Phillips Moore of Poquoson and Frances Phillips of Hampton.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Emmaus Baptist Church by Dr. Irvin Acree, with burial in Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 13, between 7 and 8 p.m. After the funeral services, the family will receive friends at 860 Yorktown Road.
