HAMPTON – Odethia L.R. Washington, 52, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, at home. She was born in Hampton, Va., and was a lifelong Hampton resident.

She was employed as an assistant manager with Be-Lo. She was a CBN counselor and a Billy Graham counselor.

She is survived by her husband, Burl Washington of Hampton, Va.; three daughters, Beverly A. Washington of Hampton, Karen L. Washington of Hampton and Deborah J. Washington of Montgomery, Ala.; five sons, Larry R. Washington of Hampton, Burl Washington Jr. of Hampton, Timothy J. Washington of Hampton, Jonathan R. Washington of Hampton and Michael D. Washington of Hampton; five sisters, Christine Judge of Hampton, Gloria Hollier of Hampton, Doris McClain of Hampton, Cynthia Austin of Hampton and Wanda Austin of Atlanta, Ga.; her father, Curtis Austin; her mother, Lula M. Austin; and six grandchildren. Her grandparents are deceased.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at New Life Church by the Rev. Lawrence Lewis. The body will be placed in the church at 9 a.m. Burial in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Viewing from 12 to 5 p.m. Thursday in Smith Bros. Funeral Home. Assemble at 10 a.m. Friday at 3605 Victoria Blvd.
