NEWPORT NEWS – Paul Wilson Collie, 65, died Saturday, Jan. 28, in Riverside Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Nash County, N.C., and had been a Peninsula resident for 35 years.

He was the owner of Paul’s Produce in Hampton and a member of Faith Church of God in Hampton.

Survivors include his wife, Dora H. Collie; one daughter, Laura Collie House of Spring Hope, N.C.; six sons, Floyd Collie of Kernersville, N.C., Paul Collie Jr. of Zeblon, N.C., John Collie and Charles Collie, both of Spring Hope, Glen Collie and Terry Collie, both of Newport News; five stepsons, Lee Steverson and Ray Steverson, both of Newport News, Gary Steverson of Richmond, Donald Steverson of Batavia, Ohio, and Paul Steverson of Cincinnati, Ohio; his mother, Lula Collie of Nashville, N.C.; four sisters, Annie Belle Pollard and Betsy Boyd, both of Raleigh, N.C., Louise Williams of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Helen Harris of Wilson, N.C.; seven brothers, William Collie of Wilson, J.M. Collie and John Collie, both of Nashville, Earl Collie of Kingston, N.C., Cecil Collie of Franklinton, N.C., Eddie Collie Jr. of LaGrange, N.C., and Tommy Collie of Rocky Mount; 11 grandchildren; and nine stepgrandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Faith Church of God of Hampton by the Rev. Don Back. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 5 p.m. today at Riverside Funeral Home, and at other times at 302 Maney Drive, Newport News.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Faith Church of God.
