Preston T. Conroy

Preston Thomas Conroy, 56, of 45 Willard Ave., Phoebus, died Tuesday at his home after a brief illness.

A Hampton native, he has lived in Phoebus since 1912.

He was retired February 1968 as a mechanic at the 16-foot tunnel at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Mr. Conroy was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, the Phoebus Fire Co. and was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Ruth of Hampton; one sister, Mrs. Neal Pyle of Hernando, Fla. and three grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

The family will be at his daughters home, Mrs. Neal Pyle, 220 Valirey Drive, Hampton.
