To Hold Curtis Funeral Rites
Robert Henry Curtis, 76, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M.R. White, 756 Twenty-eighth street, at 9:15 Wednesday night following a brief illness. He had been a lifelong resident of Warwick county.
Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2 from the W.J. Smith and Son Funeral home at Morrison, the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the family burial plot at Denbigh.
Active pallbearers will be Pat Garrow, Frank Garrow, J.C. Curtis, Jim Fox, Clarence Johnson, and B.H. Walker.
The honorary escort will be comprised of Henry Crafford, Mr. Brigg, Mr. Dolan, Douglas Curtis, Dr. Seaborn, and Roy Garnard.
In addition to his daughter, Mrs. White,he is survived by two sons, F.L. Curtis, RFD Hilton Village, and F.H. Curtis, Oyster Point; one sister, Mrs. H.G. Moss of Newport News; one brother, Arthur Curtis, Denbigh; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
