ROBERT H. NAZARETH

NEWPORT NEWS – Robert Henry Nazareth, 75, a retired employee of the Hampton Roads Sanitation Department, died Thursday, Dec. 30.

A native of Warwick County and a lifelong Newport News resident, Mr. Nazareth was also an Army veteran.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Denbigh where he served on the Trustee Board and was a member of the Senior Choir and Men’s Chorus.

He was a past member of Zedekiah Masonic Lodge 167.

Survived by three sisters, Louise Smith and Thelma Slade of Newport News and Edna Howard of York County; and three brothers, Richard Nazareth of Hampton and Russell Nazareth and Ralph Nazareth of Newport News.

Visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel.

Funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Denbigh by the Rev. Ivan Harris. Assemble by 1:30 p.m. at 136 Scufflefield Road.

Burial in church cemetery. Body placed in church by 1 p.m.
